You can also rely on the manual data entry in the early stages of your VisionPoint implementation if you wish to get started, and add the automatic integration as you go along.

Microsoft Excel spreadsheets as data sources

You can feed both targets and KPI results into VisionPoint from ordinary Excel spreadsheets. There are numerous advantages by using this technique, since you can gather data from almost everywhere in your organization and feed them into your VisionPoint Performance Management solution.

You can even have users (or other systems) entering data into spreadsheets which are VisionPoint data sources, without them knowing anything about VisionPoint.

VisionPoint can automatically update KPI’s from Excel data sources without the need for any user interaction.

You can also let VisionPoint automatically create complete Excel workbooks for your users, which can then be used for registration of KPI targets and results.

Feed KPI results from 3^rd party systems

If you have other data sources such as ERP systems or data warehouses, you can use them to feed KPI results into VisionPoint. This is done by using simple, industry standard XML files which is automatically imported by the VisionPoint server without user interaction.
